It is with great pleasure that Abercorn School announces its acquisition of additional premises in a stunning 17,000 sq ft building in the heart of Marylebone on Paddington Street and Garbutt Place. From September 2022, Abercorn will be accepting Year 9 pupils, with the capacity to expand to Year 11 and beyond. The new senior school is situated between their Middle and Upper Schools. The students’ lessons will continue with the same enthusiasm and challenge the school is known for at its other sites in St. John’s Wood, Marylebone and Regent’s Park.

Dedicated facilities, including a purpose-built theatre and sports hall with retractable seating, art studio with fantastic space and light, design and technology workshop and additional science laboratory enhance learning and offer space and resources for practical application in key disciplines. There will be a Common Room for students – a place dedicated to their social and emotional well-being where they can sit with friends, complete homework and socialise. The neighbouring Paddington Street Gardens offer local outside space. Pupils will also continue to take advantage of Seymour Place, Paddington Recreation Ground and other local sporting venues.
Mr Christopher Hammond, Headmaster, says: “As the School embarks on this latest adventure, we will maintain the educational principles that Abercorn values so highly. This building, as with our Lower, Middle
and Upper Schools, delivers the ideal environment in which all children can thrive and from where students can leave us, prepared and eager to face the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead.”
