What about Glenthorne in Sutton?
https://www.glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk/curriculum/exam-results/year-11-gcse-results
thanks, they should be at #90
Why Michaela Community School from Wembley is not in your list. Their website claimed 40% achieved 9, and 80% of all GCSE were 7-9. https://michaela.education/
this is because they only take 7 GCSEs on average, hence it is not a fair comparison vs other schools who take 9-10 on average.
Thank you so much for your league table – it has been very useful for our 11 plus options. Could you kindly confirm why the league tables in the news publications like Times, Financial Times, Guardian are all so different compared to your list? Thanks a lot in advance
The main difference is that the other league tables are based on “% of A-A*” which is not a good measure of the top performing schools, as nationally 20% or more in a given subject can achieve an A-grade. Ranking by the percentage of A*s only, particularly at GCSE level, does a better job of distinguishing among the most competitive schools and seeing if they push the students to a high level, rather than just aiming for an A-grade (of course what the social implication of pushing children academically are is a separate discussion). The other published league tables are also based on a mix of GCSE and A-Level results, whereas our league tables are separate for GCSEs and A-Level (because they are also based on separate cohorts).
Hello, thanks for the league table, very useful information. FYI, Wimbledon High website shows GCSE result 8-9 at 73% not 71%. Where is the Henrietta Barnett School ranking please?
Thanks
Hi, yes they updated the information later, due to remarks the results can change by a few percentage points along the way…
