The Shrewsbury House School Trust (comprising Shrewsbury House School and The Rowans School) and Durston
House, join St Paul’s Senior School as founding members of the St Paul’s School Group. Alongside the other schools,
we share our vision and values whilst offering an outstanding education for our pupils. As members of the group,
each school will retain its unique identity, leadership and culture, with the shared aim to:
- Offer thought leadership in best practices in education, serving as a resource for all educators
- Secure a future in which parents may continue to access a truly independent and highly academic school
education - Improve pedagogy through shared expertise and best practices
- Develop strategic leadership and governance
- Expand partnerships with educators from around the world, knowing that through this work it will expand
the understanding of issues facing our pupils.
Under this new structure, St Paul’s Juniors (SPJ) will continue to function as the sole direct entry point into St Paul’s
School (SPS) under their through-school model, with boys automatically progressing to SPS. Pupils wanting to join St
Paul’s School from Shrewsbury House or Durston House will still apply as regular 13+ candidates. Likewise, there is
no change for pupils applying for 7+ entry to St Paul’s Junior School. Whilst it is expected that the numbers of pupils
joining St Paul’s School from both Prep schools may grow over time, St Paul’s will continue to welcome pupils from a
diverse range of feeder schools across London. Similarly, The Rowans School will continue to prepare its
pupils for a wide range of future schools.
