As we have highlighted in several articles over the past year, the move towards co-educational schools in London continues. The latest schools to announce changes in this direction are Wetherby Prep Marylebone and Wetherby Pre-Prep Kensington which will begin a phased transformation to become co-educational from September 2027, becoming Wetherby Pembridge Prep and Wetherby Pembridge Pre-Prep.

For families who prefer single-sex education, Wetherby School in Notting Hill, Wetherby Senior School and Pembridge Hall will continue to operate as single-sex schools. Interestingly, the press release made no mention of Chepstow House School, an already co-educational prep school in the same group of schools.
